This Acceptable Use & Anti-Fraud Policy outlines the rules and standards that apply when using Anything Marketplace (the “Platform”), including anythingmarketplace.com.au, its related applications, listing systems, messaging services, and associated tools.
Anything Marketplace Pty Ltd (“Anything Marketplace”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates an online marketplace that allows businesses and individuals to advertise vehicles, machinery, equipment and other items for sale or lease.
By using the Platform, you agree to comply with this policy.
If you do not comply with this policy, we may suspend or permanently remove your access to the Platform.
1. Purpose of this Policy

2. Prohibited Activities
You must not use Anything Marketplace to engage in unlawful, fraudulent or harmful activity.
Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
Fraudulent Listings
You must not:
list items you do not own or have authority to sell
post fake or misleading listings
misrepresent the condition, specifications or ownership of an item
use stolen photos or copied listings
advertise items that do not exist
advertise items that cannot legally be sold.
Payment and Financial Scams
You must not:
request payment outside legitimate transaction channels in order to scam users
impersonate a legitimate business, dealer or seller
attempt to obtain deposits for non-existent items
use the Platform to conduct phishing or financial fraud.
Identity Misrepresentation
You must not:
impersonate another person or business
use false business details or fake ABN numbers
create accounts using stolen or fake identities
misrepresent your authority to sell an item.
Misleading Information
You must not provide information that is:
false
misleading
deceptive
inaccurate
incomplete in a way that could mislead buyers.
This includes:
incorrect vehicle details
false mileage or hours
incorrect ownership claims
misleading pricing.
3. Prohibited Listings
The following listings are not permitted on the Platform:
stolen vehicles, machinery or goods
items subject to undisclosed finance or security interests
illegal or prohibited goods
counterfeit goods
hazardous items where their sale is restricted by law
listings that violate Australian laws or regulations
listings intended solely to collect user information
listings that direct users to external payment scams.
Anything Marketplace may remove any listing that violates this policy without notice.
4. Spam and Unsolicited Communications
You must not use the Platform to:
send spam messages
send bulk unsolicited communications
scrape contact information from listings
harvest user data
advertise unrelated products or services without permission.
5. Platform Abuse
You must not:
attempt to access restricted parts of the Platform
attempt to hack, disrupt or damage the Platform
introduce malware, viruses or harmful code
overload or disrupt servers or systems
exploit vulnerabilities in the Platform
reverse engineer the Platform software.
6. Data Scraping and Automated Access
You may not use any automated tools including:
bots
crawlers
scrapers
scripts
data mining tools
to extract data from the Platform without our written permission.
This includes copying listings, dealer information or pricing data to reproduce on other platforms.
7. Market Manipulation
Users must not manipulate the marketplace through:
fake listings intended to manipulate prices
artificial inflation of item value
deceptive marketing practices
misleading advertisements
misleading finance or payment information.
8. Safety and Transaction Responsibility
Anything Marketplace does not handle transactions between buyers and sellers unless expressly stated.
Users are responsible for:
verifying seller identity
inspecting items
confirming ownership
conducting PPSR searches where appropriate
verifying payment methods.
We strongly recommend that buyers never send money before verifying the legitimacy of the seller and the item being sold.
9. Reporting Fraud or Suspicious Activity
If you suspect fraud, scams or suspicious activity, you should report it immediately.
